Wayne County Justice Center Program

The CADET (Chemical Addiction and Dependency Education and Therapy) program is a jail based treatment option for inmates experiencing legal difficulties as a result of their substance abuse. The program is for four hours daily for 20-25 sessions.

The CADET program has proven to be effective in reducing recidivism. While the number changes annually, approximately seventy-eight percent (78%) of CADET participants have not returned to the Justice Center.

This program is administered by two counselors who provide assessments, intensive group therapy, education and an introduction to 12-steps support groups.
