STEPS at Liberty Center, Wooster ,OH: Substance Abuse, Treatment, Education and Prevention Services

Mission Statement

Our mission is to prevent and treat chemical dependency and abuse through strategies that meet the needs of individuals, families and communities.

What We Believe

STEPS believes in the basic self-worth of every individual. We believe that chemical dependency is a debilitating disease that attacks an individual on all levels: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. This disease has the effect of limiting potential and affects all relationships within that person's total environment.

We also believe that the philosophy and traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous and other similar groups are an integral component of the treatment of the chemically dependent individual.

Quality Assurance and Certification

All clinical staff are Bachelor's or Master's level therapists, supervised by our Licensed Psychologist. All counselors are Certified Chemical Dependency Counselors, Licensed Professional Counselors and/or Licensed Social Workers, many with independent status.

We are certified by the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services.

Costs

STEPS has a history of cost-effectiveness for quality treatment and services. Public funding is available for costs exceeding insurance coverage and individual ability to pay.
