Pathway House

Pomeroy Pathway House is an abstinence based ODADAS (Ohio Department of Alcohol
and Drug Addiction Services) certified halfway house for men 18 and older.
While lengths of stay are individualized, the average length of stay in order
to successfully complete the program is 4-5 months. Priority is given to Wayne
and Holmes county residents, but referrals are also accepted from other counties.
Clients are taught that sobriety and recovery must be incorporated as a way
of life which includes honesty and a daily commitment to an alcohol/drug-free
lifestyle.
The Pathway program includes:
- Assessment
- Individualized client plans
- A structured living environment in which daily living skills that foster recovery are practiced
- Monitored mandatory attendance at self help recovery groups (AA,CA, etc.)
- Individual therapy sessions
- Group counseling
- Relapse prevention groups
- Client education related to alcohol and other drug addiction
Additional services and activities available as part of the Pathway program include pastoral services, educational/vocational services and recreational activities. During the transition phase, clients are assisted with housing issues and are referred to aftercare services.
